Wisconsin Dells is named for the Dells of the Wisconsin River. Wisconsin Dells was first named Kilbourn City after Byron Kilbourn.

Wisconsin Dells is located in four Wisconsin Counties; Adams, Columbia, Juneau and Sauk. Most of the population is located in Columbia County. For this Website, we use Columbia County as the Wisconsin Dells main County for reference.
