Door County Information
Door County was created in 1851 and named after the strait between Door Peninsula and Washington Island. Door County is Wisconsin's peninsula with Green Bay on it's Western shores and Lake Michigan on it's Eastern shores. Door County is known for it's cherry trees, fish boils, artists and natural beauty. Door County has over 250 miles of shoreline, more than any county in the United States.
